    1. Steeple Fest
      9:30 am – 1:30 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Winthrop is having their Steeple Fest on Sunday, Sept. 14th.  Events start at 9:30 with a Polka Worship Service featuring the Nite Owls.  All you can eat Ham and Meatball Dinner will be from 11-1:30 pm.  Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for Children 4-10 yrs old, and under 3 is free.  There will be games for the kids, Bake and Garden Sale, and a Pie and Ice Cream Social.  

    2. NYA Relay for Life Fundraiser
      11:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The NYA Relay For Life is having a Pasta Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 14th from 11a-2p at the Commons area of NYA Central High School.  Tickets are $10 for ages 6 and up in advance, and $5 for 5 and under.  Add $2 at the door.  On the menu is Chicken Alfredo or Marinara Meat Sauce, Ceasar Salad, Breadsticks, Dessert, and beverage.  Also enjoy music and the bake sale during the meal!

    1. Building hope celebration
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Crow River Habitat for Humanity is having their 20 years of building hope celebration on Monday, Sept. 15th at Northwoods Park in Hutchinson.  The event starts at 5:30 pm and features pulled pork sandwiches and beverages.  Please bring a dish to pass also!

    2. Bingo in Winthrop
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm


      Join the Winthrop Area Foundation for BINGO Monday’s in September (Sept. 15, 22, and 29).  Bingo will be Hahn’s Dining and Lounge at 7 pm.  16 Games per night, with a big cash drawing on the 29th!

    1. Chicken Pie Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Hector United Methodist Church is having their Chicken Pie Supper on Wednesday, Sept. 17th starting at 4:30 pm.  Serving Chicken and biscuits, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw and more!  Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children 5-12, and under 4 is free.  Take outs available.

    1. Boy Scout Open House
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Learn more about Hutchinson Boy Scouts at an open house on Thursday, Sept. 18th from 7-8 pm.  The events will be held at West Elementary, Park Elementary, Our Savior’s School, and St. Anastasia’s School that night.  Find out more by going to rocketintoscouting.org

    1. Pork Chop Dinner
      5:00 pm – 10:30 pm

      The Cedar Mills Lions are having their annual Pork Chop Dinner on Friday, Sept. 19th from 5-7:30 pm.  Cost of the Pork Chop Dinner will be $10 for adults, $4 for children 6 and under, and $3 for an extra chop.  Free Dance from 7:30-10:30 pm featuring Wally Pikal. Proceeds used for Local Projects.

    1. Drive Thru Coffee and Donuts
      7:00 am – 11:00 am

      The St. Peter Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is having drive thru Coffee and Donuts on Saturday, Sept. 20th during the LP Garage Sale Day from 7-11 am.  Serving coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, water, donuts, and cookies.  

    2. Elks Gun Show
      8:00 am – 5:00 pm

      The Elks are hosting their 33rd annual Gun, Knive, and Coin Show on Saturday and Sunday, Sept 20/21 at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.  Buy, Sell, and Trade with over 300 tables at the event.  Admission is $4, under 12 is free with a paid adult.  Food and Beverages are available.  

    3. Foster Parent Orientation
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting a Foster Parent Orientation for families interested in becoming foster parents on Saturday, Sept. 20th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management Building in Hutchinson.  This meeting is an opportunity to learn about the foster care program and ask questions, to see if being a foster parent may be right for you.  For questions or to register contact Brenda Sandquist at 320-864-1301 or 1-800-247-1756.

    4. Henderson Heritage Days
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Henderson is celebrating Heritage Days Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20/21.  On Saturday get guided tours of Parks and Historic Buildings, see a mini quilt show, and see street actors.  Also, the Church of St. Joseph is having a Polka Mass and Casserole Supper at 5 pm.  On Sunday it’s a Community Worship and Fellowship at Bender Park with lunch available after the service.  Plus the Sibley County Museum will be open.  For more info go to their facebook page.  

    5. Hoedown and Pork Chop Dinner
      4:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Concordia Lutheran Church of Fairhaven is having an old fashioned Country hoedown and Pork Chop Dinner 4:30-7:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 20th.  Cost is $8 for adults, special hot dog meal pricing for the kids.  Music by the Mellotones, and baked goods and produce will be for sale also.

    1. Hector Fly In Breakfast
      7:30 am – 12:30 pm

      The 72nd annual Hector Fly In Breakfast is coming up on Sunday, Sept. 21st.  Breakfast served from 7:30a-12:30p.  All you can eat for a free will donation.  Proceeds Benefit Jordan Olinger, Delkis Rhodes, and Darla Neubarth.  See aircraft as well, the featured aircraft this year is a 1943 Timm N2T-1 “Tutor”.  There will be an aviation FLY market, and the ping Pong Ball Drop is at 11:30 am. 

    2. St. Matthew’s Fall Festival
      9:45 am – 1:30 pm

      St. Matthew’s of Fernando is having their annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 21st.  Polka Worship starts the day at 9:45 am, followed by a Hog Roast with all the Trimmings for a free will offering.  Unique Fun Auction will be at 1 pm with something for everyone.  

    3. IC Fall Festival
      11:00 am – 1:30 pm

      The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Watertown is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 21st.  A Homestyle Turkey Dinner is served from 11a-1:30p.  Cost is $10 for adults, and $6 for Children 12 and younger.  Take outs are available.  You can shop the Silent Auction or Country Store, take a chance on the raffle, play games, and watch the Vikings in the Beer Tent.

    4. St. John’s Fall Festival
      11:00 am – 3:00 pm

      St. John’s Catholic Church of Darwin is having their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 21st from 11a-3p.  Serving a roast beef dinner from 11a-2 pm.  Adults are $9, Kids 4-10 are $4.  Also during the festival stop by the food stand, money hat, kids games, Raffle, Silent Auction, Bingo, Country Store and more!  The event is at the church’s education center between Dassel and Cokato on Highway 12.

      Harmony River Auxiliary will meet Monday, September 22 at 2 pm in the lower level conference room at Harmony River Living Center.  All members are encouraged to attend.

    1. Grieving Together
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      Renville County Hospice is hosting the “Grieving Together” Grief Information and Support Series on Sept 23, Sept 30, Oct 7, Oct 14 & Oct 21.  Tuesday Evenings from  5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the RC Hospital & Clinics Willette Room in Olivia.  No Admission but donations are accepted.  This is for anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one.  Contact Renville County Hospice, 320-523-3451 for more information.

    1. St. John’s Rummage Sale
      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hollywood is having their Rummage Sale on Thursday-Saturday(Sept. 25-27) at their church along Highway 7.  Hours Thursday and Friday are 8a-6p and Saturday 8a-1p.  Saturday is also fill a bag day for $5.  Food is served.  Proceeds go to the Handicap Fund. 

    2. Dorcas Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The Dorcas Salad Luncheon is coming up Thursday, Sept. 25th from 11a-1p at the Peace Center in Hutchinson.  Serving Hot Chicken Salad, German Potato Salad, Fruit, Veggies, Deviled Eggs and other Salads.  Cost is $8.

      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Fairfax is having their city wide garage sales Friday and Saturday (Sept. 26/27).  Many sales throughout town and country.  

    2. Salad Luncheon
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      First Lutheran Church LWML in Glencoe is having their annual salad luncheon on Friday, Sept. 26th from 11a-1p.  Adults are $8, Children 4-11 are $4, and under 4 is free.  Everyone is invited.

    1. Benefit Auction
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      There is a Benefit Auction for the Dassel Cokato Regional Ice and Sport Center on Sat. Sept 27th in Cokato at the Lundeen Auction lot . Starting at 10 am with Sporting goods, new sauna, tools, small equipment, food. and more.

    2. Womens Retreat
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Peace Lutheran Church Womens Retreat is Saturday, Sept. 27th starting at 10 am.  The retreat features the Church Basement Ladies.  Cost is $15 per person (includes lunch).  Tickets are available at the church office.

    1. Linda Portele Miller Benefit
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      You’re invited to a benefit for Linda Portele Miller on Sunday, Sept. 28th from 9a-1p at the Hutchinson High School Cafeteria.  A pancake breakfast served by the Lions will run for a free will donation.  A silent auction and raffle will also be included in the benefit.  Proceeds benefit Linda as she battles pulmonary issues and congestive heart failure. Donations can also be sent to Wells Fargo of Hutch.

    2. New Auburn Roast Beef Dinner
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The New Auburn Lions are having their Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday, Sept. 28th from 10a-1p at the City Hall.  Serving Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw and More!  Cost is $10 for adults, $6 for children 6-10, and 5 and under free.  Plus take part in the raffle for a John Deere quilt.  Proceeds raised go to local projects.  

    3. St. Boniface Fall Festival
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Boniface church of Stewart is hosting their Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 28th from 10:30a-1p.  Mass starts the festivities at 9:15 am featuring the BASICS.  Pork Loin meal served starting at 10:30 am.  Cost is $9, extra loin is $2, Ages 4-10 are $5, and 3 and under are free.  Take outs available.  Also in the festival is a raffle, silent auction, kids games, music, dollar table, country store and more!  

    4. Free Movie “Disruption”
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      You are invited to see the movie “Disruption” at First Congregational UCC in Hutchinson on Sunday, Sept 28th starting at 1 pm.  After the movie a brief discussion will occur for those interested.

    1. Basket Social Fundraiser

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is having their Basket Social Fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 29th from 7-9 pm at the Crow River Winery.  Cost is $25 per ticket and that includes Music by 10th Street Jazz, Wine Tasting, Appetizers, Tour of the Winery, Silent Auction and more.  More info can be found at mcleodhistory.org, or you can call for tickets 320-587-2109

    1. Bethel Lutheran Church Paper Drive
      7:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is holding a Paper Drive from Oct 1-Oct 16th.  Drop off your paper at the church parking lot from 8a-7p.  You can donate Newspapers, Magazines, Catalogs, Phone Books, Cardboard, any thing else paper.  No strings, rope, or plastic bags around the paper.
