    1. DC Community Theatre
      7:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      Dassel-Cokato Community Theatre’s Summer Musical presents “Fiddler on the Roof”. Six performances are scheduled over two weekends: Friday, July 22 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, July 23 at 7:00 PM, and Sunday, July 24 at 2:00 PM Matinee, Friday, July 29 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, July 30 at 7:00 PM, and Sunday, July 31 at 2:00 PM Matinee. Performances will be held in the Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center located at the D-C High School. Reserved seat tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for youth (18 and under). Tickets may be purchased online at http://pac.dc.k12.mn.us/ or in person or by phone through the Dassel-Cokato Community Education office at 320-286- 4120. Tickets will also be available at the door, beginning one hour prior to each performance.

    1. Church Golf Tournament
      10:15 am – 11:15 am

      Zion Lutheran Church of Buffalo Lake is holding their 2nd annual Golf Tournament and Auction on Sunday, July 31st. Register by July 24th. 4 person scramble at Oakdale Golf Course, 1 pm Registration, 2:30 pm Shotgun Start. Cost is $50, proceeds benefit the church improvement fund. 

    2. Winsted Fire Station Tour
      2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is hosting a History Tour of the Winsted Fire Station on Sunday, July 24th from 2-4 pm at the station at 431 6th St. South in Winsted. More info at mcleodhistory.org

    1. Temporary Hours at HHW
      7:15 am – 8:00 am

      The McLeod County Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be OPEN on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays only (Closed on Tuesdays and Fridays) effective the week of July 25th due to minimal staffing. This change in operating hours is temporary and normal hours of operation will resume once the program is adequately staffed. The County apologizes for the inconvenience and disruption of services. If you need to utilize the HHW program on Tuesdays or Fridays, please call 320-484-4322 to set up an appointment.

    2. Welcome Night
      5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Plato Lions are having a Welcome Night on Monday, July 25th at the Plato Hall. Social at 5:30 pm, Free Dinner at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome, the guest speaker for the night is Plato Mayor Bob Becker.

      The Hutchinson Church of God presents their Free Vacation Bible School July 25-28th and July 31st. The school runs from 6:30-8:30 pm each day at 800 Grove St in Hutchinson.

      8:00 am – 6:00 pm

      St. Anastasia Church of Hutchinson is holding their White Elephant Sale on Friday, July 29th and Saturday, July 30th from 8a-6p each day in their School Gym. Huge variety of items, all priced to sell. No clothes at this sale.

      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      There is a free Backpack for Kids Giveaway on Saturday, July 30th from Noon-3 pm at Verizon in Hutchinson. There will be a select amount of school supplies inside the pack for kids, and kids MUST be present to receive a backpack.

    1. Snow White and the 7 Lil Miners
      2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Lake Lillian Community Theatre presents “Snow White and the 7 Lil Miners”. Showtimes are Sunday, July 31st at 2 pm, and Monday Aug 1st and Tuesday, Aug 2nd at 7 pm at the former Lake Lillian School Gymnasium. Tickets are $5 at the door, for more info go to www.lakelillian.govoffice.com

      Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Hutchinson invites you to their annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday, August 4th from 4-6:30 pm. Serving Turkey Salad Sandwiches, BBQ’s, Hot Dogs, potato salad, Baked Beans, pie and Ice Cream and more! Take out available.

      The Granite Kitty Cat Club is holding their Purr-ple Rain Cat Show on August 6th and 7th at the Cologne Community Center from 9a-3p. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for Seniors and Children, Under 5 is free.

      Friends of the Hutchinson Library present their Puppet Show on Thursday, Aug 11th at Library Square in Hutchinson at 10 am. This year’s Show is the “Wonderfully Completely Improbably Silly Wizard of Oz”

    1. Leadership Program
      7:30 am – 8:30 am

      Mcleod for Tomorrow is looking for participants in their Leadership Program. The Program runs from September through May, one day per month. The program is designed to improve a person’s personal leadership, Communication, and Team Skills. Deadline to sign up is August 12th.     2. Brownton Corn Feed and Pedal Pull
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Brownton Lions are sponsoring the Annual Brownton Corn Feed and Pedal Pull on Friday, August 12th at the Brownton Community Center. Serving from 5-7pm or until corn is gone. Tickets are $5 for ages 13 & up, $2 for ages 6 – 12 and free for children 5 and under. There will be a kids pedal pull at 7pm with registration starting at 6:30pm. Volunteers are needed to husk corn at 1pm in the city park on that day.

      You are invited to join the fun at St. Andrew’s Fun Fest on Sunday, August 21st in Fairfax. Mass at 9:30 am with music by St. A’s Polkateers. Deed Fried Chicken Dinner served from 10:30a-1p. Adults are $11, Children (5-10) are $5, and under 5 is free. You can also take part in afternoon music, raffle tickets, games, and much more! Join them for a Sunday of Fun!
