    1. Can Collection for Vets
      8:00 am – 9:00 am

      McLeod County Veteran Services and Solid Waste Management are again sponsoring an aluminum can collection Nov 1st – 30th. Proceeds raised, from cans collected, will support the McLeod County Veteran’s Assistance Fund. There are drop off locations in Glencoe, Winsted, and Hutchinson.

    1. Fundraiser breakfast
      8:30 am – 11:30 am

      The Holy Trinity Mission Group of Winsted will be serving a fundraising breakfast at the Holy Trinity school cafeteria on Sunday, Nov 23, 2014 from 8:30 – 11:30am or until gone.  The menu consists of: Egg bake, Country potatoes, pastries, fruit and beverage.

    2. St. Mary’s Christmas Sale
      9:00 am – 3:00 pm

      St. Mary’s Care Center of Winsted is having their Christmas Sale on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 9a-3p.  Tea is served from 1-3 pm.  Stop by the Craft and Bake Sale.  Everyone is welcome!

    3. Dads Belgian Waffle Meal
      9:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s Lutheran School of NYA is having a Dad’s Belgian Waffle Meal on Sunday, Nov. 23rd from 9:30a-1p.  Adults are $8 in advance ($9 at the door), Children 6-12 are $5.  Carry outs available.  Everyone is welcome!  Proceeds benefit mission projects.

    4. Lutefisk/Swedish Meatball Supper
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      Zion Lutheran Church of Buffalo Lake is having their Lutefisk and Swedish Meatball Supper on Sunday, Nov. 23rd from 5-7 pm.  Serving Lutefisk, Swedish Meatballs, Corn, Potatoes, Cream Sauce and Melted Butter, Lefse and Dessert.  Cost is $15 for Adults, $8 for ages 5-12, and under 4 is free.

      The Harmony River Auxiliary will be meeting on Monday, Nov. 24th at 2 pm in the lower level conference center.  All Members are welcome to attend.

    1. Community Thanksgiving
      12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

      The Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be Thursday, Nov. 27th (thanksgiving day), Noon at the First Congregational Church of Glencoe.  No charge for dinner, courtesy of area churches.  Free will offering will be accepted and given to the Food Shelf.  Everyone is welcome.  RSVP’s not required but requested to 320-864-3855

    1. Down with Diabetes Christmas Gala
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The Crow River Winery is the host for the 2014 Down with Diabetes Alliance Christmas Gala on Thursday, Dec 4th.  Social hour at 6 pm, Meal at 7, Entertainment at 8 pm.  Tickets are $35 and available from the alliance on facebook, CR Winery, and Celebrate Dance Studio.

      7:00 pm – 8:15 pm

      Minnesota Music Hall of Fame bluegrass artists Monroe Crossing present “A Bluegrass Christmas” at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, MN on Dec 5th at 7:00PM.  Tickets are $17 Adults/$12 Students in advance. $20/$15 at the door.  5 and under free!!!

      8:30 am – 1:00 pm

      First Lutheran Church of Glencoe is having their Annual Christmas Brunch, Bake Sale, and Country Store on Saturday, Dec 6th from 8:30a-1p at the Fellowship Hall.  

    2. Arli-Dazzle
      9:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Arlington presents Arli-Dazzle on Saturday, Dec 6th.  Highlights include: Santa Day is from 9a-1p, 5k at 12:30 pm, Fishing Derby at 1 pm, Horse Drawn Sleigh at 1 pm, Snowball Baseball at 2:30 pm, Bethlehem Express from Noon-3:30 pm and more!.  Capped off with the Parade at 5:30 pm

    3. Trees and Traditions
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson is hosting their annual Trees and Traditions on Saturday, Dec 6th from 9a-2p at the church.  This year browse the train display, decorated trees, table settings, and more.  Shop at the country store, bake shop and silent auction.  Watch entertainment, and lefse/krumkaka demonstrations.  Light lunch available from 11a-1:30p for $5.  Everyone is welcome. 

    4. Christmas Bazaar
      10:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The First Congregational Church of Glencoe is having their Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec 6th from 10a-1p.  Stop by for Lefse, Rosettes, krumkake, cookies, candy, baked goods, crafts, gifts, Santa’s Treasures and more.  Lunch of Hot Pork Sandwiches and Soup is served (takeouts welcome).  Enjoy live music by Creekside Jazz.

    1. Christmas Brunch
      8:30 am – 12:30 pm

      The Silver Lake Lions Christmas Brunch will be Sunday, Dec 7th from 8:30a-12:30p at the Silver Lake Auditorium.  Serving Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Potato Sausage, and more for just a free will offering.  Christmas Cookies are for sale also.  Proceeds go to SL Summer Rec and the SL pool.

    2. Holiday Fundraisers
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      You are invited to two holiday fundraisers.  “A Cup of Christmas Tea” will be performed Sunday, Dec 7th at 1 pm in the Hotel Jorgensen Lobby.  The next night, Monday, Dec 8th, will be the “Awaken the Holiday Spirit” Dinner at Zellas Restaurant.

    3. BASICS Holiday Concert
      3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

      The BASICS invite you to their holiday concert on Sunday, Dec 7th, 3 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart.  A free will donation lunch will follow the concert.

    1. Christmas Volunteers
      9:00 am – 6:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Christmas Project is looking for volunteers to help at the site sorting, accepting donations, organizing, and more.  Dates needed are: Dec 8th from 9a-noon – Dec 9th and 11th from 10a-3p – Dec 10th, 12th, and 15th from 8a-Noon – Dec 16th from 8a-7:30p – and Dec 17th from Noon-6:30 pm.  Contact Veronica at Mcleod County Social Services for info.

      9:00 am – 10:00 am

      The Heart of MN Animal Shelter invites you to their holiday bake sale on Saturday, Dec 13th at the Hutchinson Mall.  Sale starts at 9 am and runs until sold out.  

    2. Songs of Christmas Past
      7:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      The Litchfield Opera House presents Songs of Christmas Past with Ervin George Asmus.  Two Shows…Saturday Dec 13th at 7 pm, and Sunday, Dec 14th at 2 pm.  Tickets are $10 for adults, Children 12 and under are $5, Under 5 is free.  Proceeds benefit restoring the Opera House.
