    1. May 21 Caregiver Support Group Meeting
      1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

      The next meeting of the Renville County Hospice Caregiver Support Group will be on Tuesday, May 21st, from 1:30 – 3:00 PM in the Willette Room of RC Hospital & Clinics (611 East Fairview) in Olivia. The topic of this month’s meeting will be “Self-Care and Relaxation Motivation,” with Tanya Hanson, Massage Therapist with Tanya’s Healing Hands. The meeting is free of charge, and there will be time for discussion and support. Future meetings are scheduled the third Tuesday of each month. Also, it is possible to have your care receiver spend the afternoon at Heart to Heart Adult Day Services. For more information, contact Paulette Svoboda at 320-523-3451.

    1. May 24th Bloodmobile
      2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The bloodmobile will be in Brownton this Friday, May 24th at the Brownton Community Building. The hours will be from 2pm — 7pm. You may call Eunice Warner for an appt. at 320-328-4445. If no answer, leave a message. As an incentive, every donor who gives a pint of blood will be eligible to win a $1000 American Express Gift Card.

    1. May 27th Memorial Day Service (all-day)
      May 27

      Members of the Plato American Legion will be observing memorial day with a service starting at 9 am at the Plato Community Hall. Memorial Day Address will be given by Captain David Smith, and music will be by the Plato Community Chorus.

    2. May 27 Hutchinson Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony
      9:30 am – 10:30 am

      Hutchinson VFW Post 906 and Hutchinson American Legion Post 96, along with their Auxiliaries, will observe Memorial Day with a parade and ceremony on Monday, May 27th. The parade will leave American Legion Post 96 at 9:30 AM and proceed north on Hassan Street to McLeod County Memorial Park. The program will begin at 10:00 AM. In case of inclement weather, the program will be in the auditorium at Riverside Assembly of God Church (20924 Highway 7 West) in Hutchinson.

    3. Memorial Day, Monday May 27th
      9:30 am – 12:00 pm

      Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 906 and American Legion Post 96 and Auxiliaries will observe Memorial Day with a parade and ceremony on Memorial Day, Monday May 27th. The parade will leave the American Post 96 at 9:30 am and proceed north on Hassan Street to the McLeod County Memorial Park. The program will begin at 10:00 am. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held in the auditorium at Park Elementary School.

    1. May 28 Senior Linkage Line Specialist at HEC
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The Senior Linkage Line, a service of the Minnesota Board on Aging and the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging, will have a specialist at the Hutchinson Event Center (1005 Highway 15 South) on Tuesday, May 28th, from 10:00 AM – noon. The specialist will assist seniors and answer questions about Medicare, Supplemental Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, prescription drugs and much more. The specialist will be at the Event Center the last Tuesday of each month. For more information, call the Senior Linkage Line at 1-800-333-2433.

      Water Carnival Motorcycle Run on Saturday June 8th, 2013

      9:00 am registration at Buffalo Wild Wings Hutchinson. 10:00 am leave

      Stops at The Other Place in Hector, Lamplighter in New Ulm, Whiskey River in St. Peter (lunch), The Dugout in Arlington, Niesen’s Bar and Grill Biscay, and then we will be getting a police escort to parade us back into Hutchison and prizes back at Buffalo Wild Wings, Hutchinson.

    1. VBS Program June 9-13
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Come and join us at St. John’s Lutheran Church on McLeod Ave in Plato for our VBS program. It will be held June 9-13 from 6pm-8pm, Ages are from K-6th grade.EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
