    1. Community Worship
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Hutchinson Ministerial Association invites you to participate in the annual Community Worship and Prayer Service on Martin Luther King Jr Day, Jan 16, Monday evening from 6:30 to 8pm at Oak Heights Covenant Church. This event is provided by our pastors to build unity between our area churches. Worship will be led by a team of area worship leaders gathered by Pastor Adam Krumrie of CrossPoint Church. While there is no cost to attend, a free-will offering will be taken to support the ministry of Common Cup. For more information call the church office at 320-587-8483.

    1. Pizza and Play
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The GSL ECFE is hosting a Pizza and Play Spring Open house on Friday, January 20th from 10:30a-11:30a or 6-7p. Bring the little ones for a day of active fun for kids 6 years and younger. Register by calling the ECFE office at 320-864-2681.

      3:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      You are invited to a Benefit for Daniel Parpart on Saturday, Jan 21st from 3-8p at the Lester Prairie Hall. Proceeds from the benefit will be used for medical expenses as Dan battles Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

    1. Family Fishing Contest
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire presents their annual Family Fishing Contest on Saturday, January 28th from Noon-3pm at the Gopher Campfire Clubhouse. Prizes awarded, raffle’s drawn and more!

    1. Pancake and Bratwurst Dinner
      10:30 am – 5:00 pm

      St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Gibbon is hosting their all you can eat Pancake and Bratwurst Dinner on Sunday, January 29th from 10:30a-5p. Take Outs available, Cost is just a free will offering.

    1. Ice Fishing Contest
      1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Brownton Rod and Gun Club’s Ice Fishing Contest is coming up Saturday, Feb 4th from 1-3pm on the South Side of Lake Marion. Cash Prizes for Fish, Raffles available also.  

    2. Dueces Wild
      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      The GSL Panther Assn presents Dueces Wild, a Dueling pianos act at the Glencoe City Center on Saturday, Feb 4th at 7:30 pm. Advance Tickets are available at the Glencoe City Offices, Glencoe Wine and Spirits, or at the door.

    1. Grove City Blood Drive
      1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be stopping at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City on Monday, February 6th from 1-7 pm.  For an appointment for Information call Linda at 320-857-2073

    1. Fishing Derby
      1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Howard Lake Fishing Derby is coming up Saturday, Feb 11th from 1-3pm on Howard Lake. Prize for Biggest Fish, Ice Chiseling and Power Auger Contest at approx. 3 pm. Lunch Wagon on sinte, and Raffle Prizes given out.  

    2. Huber benefit
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      You are invited to a Spaghetti Dinner Benefit on Saturday, Feb 11th from 4-8 pm at the Forest City Threshers Building. Proceeds go to Louie Huber, who was injured in a farm accident this fall.

    1. Beer and Hymns
      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      You’re invited to a night of Beer and Hymns and Food! The event is Friday, Feb 24th from 6-9pm at the Buffalo Lake Liquor Store. Food Served from 6-7:30 pm, Music from Beer and Hymns from 7-9pm. Cost is $8 per plate with all proceeds support the improvement fund at Zion Lutheran Church.
