    1. Bike Rodeo
      10:00 am – 12:00 pm

      The NYA Church of Peace is holding a Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 23rd from 10a-Noon.  The event is for kids ages 8-10 years old.  Free bike helmet to the first 50 kids, plus they’ll have a drawing for a Girls and Boys Bike.

    1. Plato Memorial Day Service
      9:00 am – 10:00 am

      The Plato American Legion Memorial Day Service will be Monday, May 25th, at 9 am at the Plato Community Hall.

    2. Memorial Day Program
      9:30 am – 11:00 am

      The Hutchinson VFW and American Legion will hold their Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 25th.  The Parade will leave the Legion at 9:30 am and proceed to Mcleod County Memorial Park.  Program will be at 10 am.  

    3. Brownton Memorial Day Service
      10:00 am – 11:30 am

      The Brownton Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 25th at the Oak Grove Cemetery, starting at 10 am.  Pot Luck to follow at the Community Center at 11:30 am.  Also appearing at the Community Center is the Marine Corps Vette, America’s Mobile Memorial honoring the families of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.    In case of bad weather, service will be at the Community Center.

    4. Darwin Lakes Memorial Day Program
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      The 14th annual Darwin Lakes Area Memorial Day Program will be Monday, May 25th at 10:30 am at the Hantge Funeral Chapel.  The Keynote Speaker is National Guard Veteran Jacob Sanken of Hutchinson.  The Balloon release is set for 11 am.

      7:00 am – 3:00 pm

      The Hutchinson American Legion Auxiliary will offer at Pillow Cleaning Service on Saturday, May 30th from 7a-3p at the Hutchinson Elks Lodge.  Questions call 587-2442.

    1. LP Music in the Park
      6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Lester Prairie presents Music in the Park, Tuesdays at the Park on 2nd Avenue.  Event begins at 6 pm with a light lunch put on by local businesses or groups for a small charge.  Music starts at 7 pm.

    1. Trinity Lutheran IC Social
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Trinity Lutheran Church of Grove City is having their Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, June 3rd from 4:30-7pm.  Serving BBQ or Ham Sandwiches, Potato Salad, Chips, Baked Beans, Pickles, Pie, Ice Cream, and beverage.  Suggested donation is $6 for adults, $3 for 11 and under, $2 for Pie and Ice Cream only.  Proceeds go to the Trinity Bible Camp Fund.

    1. Johnson benefit
      10:30 am – 1:30 pm

      There will be a fundraiser for Jessica Johnson on Sunday, June 7th at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Lester Prairie., MN from 10:30 am- 1:30 pm.  Menu is Turkey commercials, mash potatoes and gravy, vegetable, bars and beverage.  Take outs are also available.   There will be a free will offering and basket for cards.  Proceeds will go for medical and travel expenses as she battles a brain tumor.

    1. Mental Health First Aid
      8:30 am – 5:30 pm

      A class on Mental Health First Aid will be taught on Tuesday, June 30th from 8:30a-5:30p at Ridgewater College’s Hutchinson Campus.  The course is designed to teach the basic first aid skills needed to help a person who is experiencing a mental health problem or crisis…and Understanding and recognizing the signs that someone needs help is the first step in getting that person the appropriate care and treatment.  Participants receive a course manual and certificate.  Registration is required, To Register Visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mental-health-first-aid-hutchinson-tickets-16791267132

    1. Ride to Save Lives
      11:30 am – 6:00 pm

      It’s the 3rd annual Ride to Save Lives Motorcycle and Bus Run on Saturday, July 11th.  Proceeds benefit SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education)  $20 per biker, $5 per rider, or you can ride the bus at $15 per person.  The ride is in memory of Mike Thaemert and starts at 11:30 am at Knuckleheads in Mayer.  The ride will end back at Knuckleheads also.

    1. Solid Rock Day Camp
      9:30 am – 2:30 pm

      Solid Rock Day Camp will be held August 3-6th at Christ the King Lutheran Church of Hutchinson from 9:30a-2:30p each day.  Kids in grades 1-5 are welcome, cost is $20 per child.  Join them for bible fun, crafts, games, outdoor activities, a service project, and a field trip.  More info: ctkhutch.com
