    1. Hutchinson Theatre Company
      7:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Hutchinson Theatre Company presents Leading Ladies at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts March 19-21st and March 26-28th.  Tickets available at hutchtheatre.org or in person at the Center.  Tickets are $18 per person, doors open at 6:30 pm…show at 7 pm.

    1. Early Childhood Screening
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      Early Childhood Screening is required for all Minnesota children entering kindergarten.  It is recommended to have your child screened between the ages of 3-4 years.  Early Childhood Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing.  It is free and you only need to complete it once.  There are 2 dates left this spring for screening for Glencoe Silver Lake Schools: March 27 and April 10.  Call Becky 320-864-2494 to schedule an appointment or more info.

    1. Gladiolus Society Auction
      12:30 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Minnesota Gladiolus Society’s annual Bulb/corm auction is Saturday, March 28th at the Cologne Community Center.  The event is free and open to the public.  The auction starts at 1 pm, with a short program before about how to grow and show Gladiolus at 12:30 pm.  

    2. Deep Roots
      3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      A fiber/textile art exhibit, Deep Roots, will open Saturday, March 28 from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Dassel History Center.  The exhibit, sponsored by the Dassel Area Historical Society, is arranged by Anita Jain of Common Strands, an international fiber arts, non-profit organization. Jain will give a galley talk about the art. No admission charge.  The exhibit will be at the Dassel History Center through April 25. 

    3. Spring Banquet
      7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      The 62nd McLeod County Dairy Association Spring Banquet is Saturday March 28th at the Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, MN. Appetizers are at 7p.m. with complete buffet dinner at 7:30p.m.  Dinner music is by Alice Nowak.  Former Princess Kay Sarah (Olson) Schmidt is the MC for the evening.  Various awards will be given and the new 2015-16 Dairy Princess will be crowned. Ticket are $12.00 in advance and $13.00 at the door.

    1. Smoked Ham and Pancake Breakfast
      8:00 am – 1:00 pm

      The annual Smoked Ham and Pancake Breakfast is at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Green Isle on Sunday, March 29th from 8a-1p.  Free will offering for Pancakes, Eggs, Ham, and more!

    2. Glencoe Spring Brunch
      9:00 am – 12:30 pm

      The Glencoe Lions Club invites you to their Annual “All You Care to Eat” Spring Brunch on Sunday, March 29 at the Pla-Mor Ballroom, Glencoe, serving from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with take-outs available. Menu includes: Pancakes, sausage, ham, eggs, fruit and beverage. Advance Adult tickets are $9 and are available from Lions Club Members. Prices at the door are Adults – $10, Children (age 4 – 10) $5, and children age three and under eat FREE. Proceeds will be used toward community projects. Collection boxes will also be available for your used eyeglasses, sunglasses and hearing aids.

    3. Kids Easter party and Pancake Breakfast
      9:00 am – 12:30 pm

      The Stewart Lions annual kids easter party and pancake breakfast is Sunday, March 29th at the Stewart Fire Hall from 9a-12:30 pm.  Free will donation for all you can eat pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, and beverage.  Get your photo taken with the easter bunny.  Proceeds go to local projects.  

    4. Scholarship Brunch
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

       Hector Legion Annual Scholarship Brunch will be Sunday, March 29, from 9am-1pm at the American Bar and Grill of Hector.  Serving pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs, sausages, hashbrowns, coffee, milk, & juice.  Cost is a Free will donation.

    5. Chicken Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Winsted’s Catholic Order of Foresters is having their Chicken Dinner on Sunday, March 29th from 10:30a-1p at the Blue Note of Winsted.  Cost is $9 in advance, $10 at the door, Children 6-10 are $5, and under 5 is free.  Take out available.  Enjoy Chicken, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Cole Slaw and more.  Proceeds benefit project for paiting the Holy Trinity Church Social hall.  

    6. Antique Appraisal
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Mcleod County Historical Society is having their annual Antique Appraisal Fundraiser on Sunday, March 29th at 2 pm at the Glencoe City Center.  Museum Director Lori Pickell Stangell will be giving advice on how to preserve your treasures, plus local auctioneer Kathy Krone will narrarate the program and antique expert Lynn Buck will appraise.  Cost is $7 per appraisal item, $15 for 3 items, or $3 admission without appraisal.  More details you can go to mcleodhistory.org

    1. Marsh Creek Water Project Meeting
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Buffalo Creek Watershed District will hold an informational meeting on the Marsh Creek Water Project on Tuesday, March 31st from 5-7 pm at the Glencoe City Center.  The meeting is open to the public.  The Open House will talk about an implementation timeline and cost allocation.

    1. Paper Drive
      8:00 am – 9:00 am

      Paper Drive at Bethel Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie from April 1-April 16.  Bring your newspaper, magazines, catalogs, office paper , junk Mail, cardboard, ANYTHING PAPER.  Please NO  STRING,ROPES OR PLASTIC BAGS AROUND THE PAPER.  Pizza Boxes with food on will not be accepted.  Recycling May be brought to the Trailer in the Parking Lot anytime From April 1-April 16.Funds raised will be used to purchase more energy efficent lights.

    1. City Wide Easter Egg Hunt
      9:00 am – 11:00 am

      Hutchinson City Wide Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 4th at 10 am at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds.  Cost is free for kids ages 10 and under.  Registration starts at 9 am.  

    2. Brownton Easter Egg Hunt
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      Brownton has their Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4th, 10 am at the Brownton Community Center.  Ages Toddler to 3rd Grade are welcome.  Treat Bags and Prizes will be given away, and you can take your photo with the Easter Bunny.  Free admission.  

    3. Easter Extravaganza
      12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      Lighthouse Church and the Plato Lions are having their Easter Extravaganza on Saturday, April 4th from Noon-2 pm at 10478 Bell Ave Plato (off Hwy 212).  Enjoy an easter egg hunt, bounce houses, relay race, cake walk, kids games, food, prizes and more!  The Community is welcome!

      You are invited for a Easter Sunday Breakfast at Peace Lutheran Church of Watertown on Sunday, April 5th from 7-8:30 am.  Freewill offering goes to the youth Program.  

    2. Torsk and Meatball Dinner
      7:30 am – 8:30 am

      Join the Sons of Norway for their annual Torsk & Meatball Dinner on Saturday, April 11th at 5:30p at Shalom Baptist Church in Hutchinson.  Following the dinner, featured storyteller Pati Kachel will present her program, “Ya sure, I’m a Norvegin Luteran.”  Tickets are $15 and must be purchased by April 5th.  Contact Gabra Lokken at 320.234.8979 for information and tickets.

      The Meeker/Mcleod/Sibley Community Health Services will hold its quarterly board meeting on Thursday, April 9th from 9-11:30 am at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management building in Hutchinson.  The meeting is open to the public.

      The Buffalo Lake Lions are having their All you can eat Fish Fry on Friday, April 10th from 11:30a-7 pm (or until the fish are gone) at the Buffalo Lake Fire Hall.  Take outs available.  Cost is $9 in advance, $10 at the door, ages 5-12 are $4 and under 5 is free.  Proceeds go to local projects.

      Get to know NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) on Tueday, April 14th 7-8 pm at Ridgewater College, Hutchinson campus.  Hear first-hand how our work directly affects the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families, Hear from a person who combats a mental illness but is now an advocate for hope and recovery.  Hear from a family member about the experiences of their family.  Learn about our education, support programs and what we are doing to advocate for good mental health policies.  Learn how you can get involved, take action and make a difference!  Please RSVP to Kay King at 1-651-645-2948 ext. 113 OR kking@namimn.org

      Habitat for Humanity is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, April 15th at Vineyard United Methodist Church.  The event is from 4:30-7 pm, and is a free will offering.

      The Crow River Singers present “Our Favorite Things”, favorite selections from the Choir and Director.  There will be two performances.  One on Friday, April 17th at 7 pm at First Congregational UCC of Hutchinson…the next at 2 pm at Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson on Sunday, April 19th.  Admission is $7, Refreshments are served.

      Minnesota Pioneer Park of Annandale is having their 38th Annual Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast on Sunday April 19 from 9a-1p!  So bring your family and friends to enjoy the home made breakfast! Meal includes:  Scrambled Eggs; Sausage; Juice, Coffee or Milk and ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES with freshly bottled REAL Maple Syrup!!!  Cost for this event is only $8/adult * $4/child ages 4-12 * 3 years and younger are FREE!!

    2. BLHS Music Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Sunday, April 19 the BLHS Music Department is hosting the “White Sidewalls Love Potion #10 Muscial” and Grill-Out at the BLHS High School Gym.  The grill out starts at 4:00 - hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, rootbeer floats, coffee and bars will be available for purchase. The White Sidewalls performance will begin at 5:00pm with the BLHS high school choir members performing some songs with the group.  

      Tickets for the White Sidewalls performance can be purchased from a BLHS band or choir member, or be purchased at the door. Tickets are $25.00 each.

    1. Ridgewater Choir
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      On Thursday, April 23, Ridgewater’s combined choir of students from both Hutchinson and Willmar campuses will perform at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. The 7:00 pm performance is free and open to the public.  This year’s theme is “All in the Family,” and will feature songs from childhood and family relationships.
