      St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stewart invites you to see the Froemming Family in concert on Sunday, Oct 26th at 10 am.  Potluck Lunch follows

    2. German Dinner
      10:30 am – 1:00 pm

      Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brownton invites you to their annual German Dinner on Sunday, oct 26th from 10:30a-1p.  A polka worship service starts things off at 9 am with Chuck Thiel.  On the menu:  Brats, Meatballs, Glazed Carrots, Mashed Potatoes, German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, and more.  Adults are $11, Children 6-10 are $6, and preschool is free.  Take out orders are available. 

    3. Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner
      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Bethel Lutheran Church of Lester Prairie is holding their annual Lutefisk and Meatball Dinner on Sunday, Oct 26th from Noon-5 pm.  Tickets are $16 for adults, Children 12 and under are $8.  On the menu is Lutefisk, Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Coleslaw, Cranberries, and more!

    4. 100th birthday
      1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

      Help celebrate Richard Borchardt turning 100 yards old at the Glencoe Long Term Care Facility.  Join the facility for cake from 1:30-4 pm.  No presents please.

      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      Four of the GSL High School music groups are having their first concert of the year on Monday, Oct 27th at 7:30 pm at the Glencoe City Center Ballroom.  Free will offering will be taken.

    1. SL Paper Drive
      7:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Silver Lake Knights of Columbus is having a paper drive on Friday and Saturday (Oct 31/Nov 1) from 7a-7p each day.  Drop off on the north side of the Holy Family church.  Items must be clean and dry, items accepted are newspapers, magazines, cardboard, and junk mail.  

    2. Oaks and Pines Trick or Treating
      3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      The Ecumen Oaks and Pines will have indoor Trick or Treating on Friday, Oct 31st from 3-5 pm.

    3. Trunk or Treat
      5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

      Bethlehem United Methodist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat Event, Friday, Oct 31, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. The church parking lot will be transformed into a fun place with decorated car trunks that are filled with candy.

    4. Brownton Halloween Party
      5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Brownton Lions are having their Halloween Party on Friday, Oct 31st from 5:30-7 pm at the Brownton Community Center.  The Party is for kids in Grades 6 and under, cost is $3 per child or $10 per family.  Proceeds benefit the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf.  Lunch is served.

    1. St. Andrew’s Fall Bazaar
      8:30 am – 1:00 pm

      St. Andrew’s Catholic Church of Fairfax is having their Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 8:30a-1p.  The event features displays of Bastismals and First Communions.  Rolls, Apple Dumplings and Coffee is served at 8:30 am, Soup and Sandwich Lunch runs from 10:30a-1p.  Also shop the bake sale, Craft Sale, and Country Store.  Everyone is welcome.

    2. Christmas Bazaar
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The Winsted American Legion is having a Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale.  Hours Friday, Oct 31st are Noon-5 p and Saturday, Nov. 1st 9a-2p.  

    3. DC Craft Fair
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      DC High School is hosting a Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9a-2p.  Free admission, 80+ crafters, food served on site.  Proceeds benefit “Dollars for Preschool Scholars”.

    4. Harmony River extravaganza
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      Harmony River of Hutchinson is having their fall extravaganza on Saturday, Nov. 1st from 9a-2p.  No admission charge, lunch available.  Vendors on site with arts, crafts, and baked goods.

    5. Tales from Iwo Jima
      10:00 am – 11:30 am

      The Dassel History Center will present “Tales from Iwo Jima”, a program created by Tim Mergen of Litchfield on Saturday, Nov 1st at 10 am.  The program focuses on the WW2 lives of three veterans, all from Litchfield.  All are welcome.

    6. Turkey Dinner
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      Plumb Krazy is accepting donations for Turkeys again this year.  The Turkey Krew raised enough for 156 Turkesy and 12 boxes of stuffing last year and is looking for more this year.  Cash Donations can be dropped off at Plumb Krazy or mailed to: 66 N High Drive, Hutchinson, MN 55350.  All donations go to the Mcleod Emergency Food Shelf and the DAV Free Will Turkey Dinner.  

    7. Norseland Lutefisk Supper
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      Scandian Grove Lutheran Church of Norseland is having their Lutefisk Supper on Saturday, Nov. 1st at the church.  Two serving times…11a-1p and 4p-7p.  Adults are $16, ages 6-12 are $6, and under 5 is free.  On the menu is lutefisk, meatballs and all the trimmings!

    1. Hamball/Swedish Meatball Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Zion Lutheran Church of Buffalo Lake is having their Hamball and Swedish Meatball Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 2nd from 11a-1p.  Tickets are $8.50 in advance, $9 at the door, 4-10 are $3, and under 3 is free.  ON the menu is Hamballs, Swedish Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Coleslaw, Bread, and dessert.  Take outs are available.

      Holy Family Council is having their annual Election Day Luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 4th from 10:30a-1:30p at the Holy Trinity Church Social Hall.  Serving Soup and Chili, Pie and Ice Cream, and beverage.  Also don’t forget to shop the country store and bake sale while there!

    2. Lefse Fundraiser
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      Sons of Norway Hutchinson is also hosting their Annual LEFSE  Fundraiser!  Prepaid orders are being taken for fresh lefse through Tuesday, Nov 4th with delivery on Nov 8th.  $6.50/package.  Contact Gabra Lokken at 320.234.8979 or email sofnhutchinson@yahoo.com.

    1. Winthrop coat drive
      4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      The Winthrop Fire Department is hosting their annual Coat Drive going on now.  Distribution of the coats will be on Wednesday, Nov. 5th from 4-8 pm at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop.  This is open to all individuals & familes.  Donations of clean used coats or outerwear are currently being accepted also.

      The First Baptist Church of Cokato is hosting the Allen Family in Concert on Friday, Nov. 14th at 6:30 pm.  This Southern Gospel Music Family has traveled the world for their music, and you can see their new show on TLC this fall.  A free will offering will be taken.

      The Litchfield Opera House presents their annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 15th from 9a-2p.  Homemade Crafts will be sold, Entertainment, Snack Bar and more.  Admission is free.

    2. Glencoe Community Strings Concert
      2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

      The Glencoe Community Springs will be performing at St. John’s Lutheran Church of New Germany on Saturday, Nov. 15th at 2 pm.  Light refreshments will be served.  Free will offering will be taken with proceeds going to St. John’s 150th anniversary fund.
