    1. Marsh Creek Water Project Meeting
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Buffalo Creek Watershed District will hold an informational meeting on the Marsh Creek Water Project on Tuesday, March 31st from 5-7 pm at the Glencoe City Center.  The meeting is open to the public.  The Open House will talk about an implementation timeline and cost allocation.

    1. Paper Drive
      8:00 am – 9:00 am

      Paper Drive at Bethel Lutheran Church, Lester Prairie from April 1-April 16.  Bring your newspaper, magazines, catalogs, office paper , junk Mail, cardboard, ANYTHING PAPER.  Please NO  STRING,ROPES OR PLASTIC BAGS AROUND THE PAPER.  Pizza Boxes with food on will not be accepted.  Recycling May be brought to the Trailer in the Parking Lot anytime From April 1-April 16.Funds raised will be used to purchase more energy efficent lights.

    1. City Wide Easter Egg Hunt
      9:00 am – 11:00 am

      Hutchinson City Wide Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 4th at 10 am at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds.  Cost is free for kids ages 10 and under.  Registration starts at 9 am.  

    2. Brownton Easter Egg Hunt
      10:00 am – 11:00 am

      Brownton has their Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4th, 10 am at the Brownton Community Center.  Ages Toddler to 3rd Grade are welcome.  Treat Bags and Prizes will be given away, and you can take your photo with the Easter Bunny.  Free admission.  

    3. Bluebird Day
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire is having their Bluebird Day on Saturday, April 4th from Noon-3 pm at the Gopher Campfire grounds, NE of Hutchinson.   Just bring a hammer to make your own blue bird house, learn about bluebirds and how to attract them, nature experts on hand.  Free Lunch.  

    4. Easter Extravaganza
      12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      Lighthouse Church and the Plato Lions are having their Easter Extravaganza on Saturday, April 4th from Noon-2 pm at 10478 Bell Ave Plato (off Hwy 212).  Enjoy an easter egg hunt, bounce houses, relay race, cake walk, kids games, food, prizes and more!  The Community is welcome!

      7:00 am – 8:30 am

      You are invited for a Easter Sunday Breakfast at Peace Lutheran Church of Watertown on Sunday, April 5th from 7-8:30 am.  Freewill offering goes to the youth Program.  

    2. Torsk and Meatball Dinner
      7:30 am – 8:30 am

      Join the Sons of Norway for their annual Torsk & Meatball Dinner on Saturday, April 11th at 5:30p at Shalom Baptist Church in Hutchinson.  Following the dinner, featured storyteller Pati Kachel will present her program, “Ya sure, I’m a Norvegin Luteran.”  Tickets are $15 and must be purchased by April 5th.  Contact Gabra Lokken at 320.234.8979 for information and tickets.

    1. Meeker Mcleod Sibley Health meeting
      9:00 am – 11:30 am

      The Meeker/Mcleod/Sibley Community Health Services will hold its quarterly board meeting on Thursday, April 9th from 9-11:30 am at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management building in Hutchinson.  The meeting is open to the public.

      8:00 am – 12:00 pm

      Plato is having their city wide garage sales on Friday and Saturday, April 10th and 11th starting at 8 am.  

    2. BL Fish Fry
      11:30 am – 7:00 pm

      The Buffalo Lake Lions are having their All you can eat Fish Fry on Friday, April 10th from 11:30a-7 pm (or until the fish are gone) at the Buffalo Lake Fire Hall.  Take outs available.  Cost is $9 in advance, $10 at the door, ages 5-12 are $4 and under 5 is free.  Proceeds go to local projects.

      The 24th Annual Spring ECFE Garage Sale at HLWW High School on Saturday, April 11, 9 am-noon. 20+ spaces of families selling children’s clothes size 0-14, maternity clothes, accessories, books, toys. No admission fee.

    1. Get to know NAMI
      7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      Get to know NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) on Tueday, April 14th 7-8 pm at Ridgewater College, Hutchinson campus.  Hear first-hand how our work directly affects the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families, Hear from a person who combats a mental illness but is now an advocate for hope and recovery.  Hear from a family member about the experiences of their family.  Learn about our education, support programs and what we are doing to advocate for good mental health policies.  Learn how you can get involved, take action and make a difference!  Please RSVP to Kay King at 1-651-645-2948 ext. 113 OR kking@namimn.org

      Habitat for Humanity is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, April 15th at Vineyard United Methodist Church.  The event is from 4:30-7 pm, and is a free will offering.

      6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

      Gopher Campfire’s Spring Firearms Safety Class is starting on Thursday, April 16th.  Class is open to all boys and girls ages 11 and older, adults welcome.  Class size is limited so you must register.  Attendance at all classes is required.  For info or to register contact Brian at schmelingoil@gmail.com

    1. Crow River Singers
      7:00 pm – 2:00 pm

      The Crow River Singers present “Our Favorite Things”, favorite selections from the Choir and Director.  There will be two performances.  One on Friday, April 17th at 7 pm at First Congregational UCC of Hutchinson…the next at 2 pm at Peace Lutheran Church of Hutchinson on Sunday, April 19th.  Admission is $7, Refreshments are served.

      Learn about becoming a Foster Parent on Saturday, April 18th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod County Solid Waste Management Building in Hutchinson.  This meeting is to learn about and ask questions about the foster care program in Mcleod County.  Anyone interested in becoming a foster parent should attend.  Lunch will be provided.  Questions contact Amy at 1-800-247-1756.

    1. Pioneer Park Pancake Breakfast
      9:00 am – 1:00 pm

      Minnesota Pioneer Park of Annandale is having their 38th Annual Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast on Sunday April 19 from 9a-1p!  So bring your family and friends to enjoy the home made breakfast! Meal includes:  Scrambled Eggs; Sausage; Juice, Coffee or Milk and ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES with freshly bottled REAL Maple Syrup!!!  Cost for this event is only $8/adult * $4/child ages 4-12 * 3 years and younger are FREE!!

    2. BLHS Music Fundraiser
      4:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      Sunday, April 19 the BLHS Music Department is hosting the “White Sidewalls Love Potion #10 Muscial” and Grill-Out at the BLHS High School Gym.  The grill out starts at 4:00 - hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, rootbeer floats, coffee and bars will be available for purchase. The White Sidewalls performance will begin at 5:00pm with the BLHS high school choir members performing some songs with the group.  

      Tickets for the White Sidewalls performance can be purchased from a BLHS band or choir member, or be purchased at the door. Tickets are $25.00 each.

    1. Ridgewater Choir
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      On Thursday, April 23, Ridgewater’s combined choir of students from both Hutchinson and Willmar campuses will perform at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. The 7:00 pm performance is free and open to the public.  This year’s theme is “All in the Family,” and will feature songs from childhood and family relationships.

    1. Hammer and Nails Dinner
      5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      Crow River Habitat for Humanity is hosting their Hammer and Nails fundraiser dinner on Friday, April 24th at the Days Inn, Hutchinson.  5:30 pm is social hour, dinner and entertainment at 6 pm.  Tickets are $40 each, $5 for raffle tickets.  Proceeds benefit the groups 2015 build.

    1. Annie’s Fight
      3:00 pm – 8:00 pm

      It’s a day for Annie’s Fight, benefiting Annie Wilner-Miller on April 25th from 3-8 pm at the Cosmos Legion.  Silent Auction will be from 3-7 pm, Food Served from 5-7 pm, Shop at the bake sale, Live Auction at 7, then stick around for live music after the benefit.  Proceeds benefit Annie’s medical expenses after being left paralyzed due to a broken vertebrae.

    1. Winsted Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St. John’s of Winsted is holding their Pork Chop Dinner on Sunday, April 26th from 11a-1p.  Free Will Offering for Pork Chops, Hot Dogs, Cheesy Potatoes, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, andmore!  Take outs available.  The day starts with worship featuring Chuck Thiel and the Jolly Ramblers at 10 am.

      The 4th annual Evening of Bluegrass and Gospel Music will be Friday, May 1st at the DC Performing Arts Center at 7 pm  Free will donation admission.  Music from: The Froemming Family-Allen and Matt-The Flemming Fold-The Alzen Family-Navigating North-The Minkin Family-The Mahlstedt Family.
