    1. Pizza and Play event
      10:30 am – 11:30 am

      GSL ECFE has a Pizza and Play event coming up on Friday, January 19th at the Early Childhood Learning Center from 10:30-11:30a or 6-7p. Ages 1-Kindergarten entry are welcome for a night of hoops, bowling, bounce house fun and more! Register at the ECFE office or call 320-864-2681.

    1. BLHS Fishing Contest
      3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

      Join the BLHS FFA Alumni for their 2018 Ice Fishing Contest on Saturday, January 20th from 3-6 pm on the south end of Lake Allie. Registration at 2 pm at the Buffalo Lake Rod and Gun Club, raffle to follow with over $10,000 in prizes awarded. Concessions available. Tickets available from any BLHS FFA Alumni Member.  

    2. Chili Feed
      4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      It’s the 9th annual Chili Feed at the Winsted American Legion from 4-7 pm on Saturday, January 20th. Advance Tickets are $9 ($10 at the door), Kids 10 and under are $5. Serving Chili, Cornbread, garlic bread, Veggies, Desserts and more!

    3. Crow River Radio Hour
      7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

      A performance of Crow River Radio Hour-A Celebration of Small Towns will be held on Saturday,January 20th at the Watertown Primary School Auditorium beginning at 7:00 P.M.  Tickets on  sale at Marketplace Foods or at the door. Adults $10,Children under 18 $5.  All proceeds to benefit Watertown Area Fine Arts Council.

    1. Pancake Brunch
      8:30 am – 12:30 pm

      Sunday January 21 the Hamburg Lions will be hosting a Pancake Brunch, 8:30 – 12:30 at the Hamburg Community Hall. Menu consists of Pancakes, Scrambled eggs, sausages, apple sauce & beverage. Proceeds will go to Lions Youth Programs, both local and International.Bring your old eye glasses.

    2. Pancake Breakfast
      9:30 am – 12:30 pm

      St John’s Catholic Church of Hector is having their annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, January 21st from 9:30a-12:30p. The menu includes Pancakes, French Toast, Ham and Eggs, Apple Sauce and a beverage. Cost is just a free will donation. All are invited.

      11:00 am – 9:00 pm

      Eat Wings Raise Funds at Buffalo Wild Wings Hutchinson for Colby Smith on Wednesday, January 24th from 11am to 9pm! Dine in or takeout to help raise money for this long-time Hutchinson resident!

      6:30 am – 10:30 am

      There is a Wildlife Habitat Fundraiser Breakfast on Saturday, January 27 from 6:30-10:30 am at the Shady Lane Sportsmens Club.  Cost is just a free will donation.

    2. Family Fishing Contest
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      You’re invited to Gopher Campfire’s Family Fishing Contest on Saturday, January 27th from Noon-3 pm at the Gopher Campfire Clubhouse. Prizes awarded, Raffles available, and more! For details go to gophercampfire.com

    1. Archery Ministry
      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

      Members and friends of Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake will be starting their next session of an archery ministry called Centershot for ages 7 and up. Centershot is a Bible-based archery ministry that consists of a 45 minute Bible study and 45 minutes of archery instruction one day a week for 8 weeks.  The church provides the bows and arrows which are used during the training sessions in the church basement shooting range.  Participants pay a nominal fee to help cover the cost of the study book.  The next session of Centershot will begin Sunday, January 28 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Space is limited so those interested in finding out more are encouraged to contact the church office (320)327-2352.

    1. Spaghetti Supper
      5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church has their annual Spaghetti Supper on Friday, February 2nd from 5-7 pm. Serving Pasta Bar, Salad, Garlic Bread, and Sundae for a Free Will Donation. Proceeds go to a new projector screen for the church.

    1. Winterfest
      10:00 am – 4:00 pm

      Mcleod for Tomorrow’s annual Winterfest is Saturday, February 3rd at the Mcleod County Fairgrounds from 10a-4p. Enjoy Dog Sled Rides, Wagon Rides, Ice Skating and other winter sports! The U of M Raptor Center has presentations at 11 am and 1 pm. Meet the Frozen Characters!  

    2. Pie and Ice Cream Sale
      11:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The LWML of Emanuel Lutheran Church will host a pie & ice cream sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, at the Hamburg Hunting and Fishing Club Fish Fry. Proceeds will be used for LWML projects and missions. Supplemental funds by Thrivent Financial.

    1. Potato Pancake and Sausage Dinner
      9:00 am – 2:00 pm

      The First Lutheran Mens Club of Glencoe has their annual All you care to eat Potato Pancake and Sausage Dinner on Sunday, February 4th from 9a-2p at the church. Cost is $10 for adults, Children 4-12 are $5, and 3 and under are free.  

    2. Sleepy Eye Sportsmens Club
      12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

      The Sleepy Eye Sportsmens Club has their Ice Fishing Derby on Sunday, February 4th from 12-3 pm on Sleepy Eye Lake. Registration starts at 9:30 am. Cash Prizes given out, Raffles and more! Proceeds go to Local Parks and Lake Projects.

      The Zion United Methodist Church of Buffalo Lake has their annual Turkey Supper on Wednesday, February 7th from 4:30-7:30pm. Eat in or Take Out Meals served. Adults are $10, 5-11 year olds are $5.

      The Kimball Lions Fish Friday is Friday, Feb 16th from 4-7:30 pm at Generations Ballroom. Adults are $9, Children under 12 is $4, and 5 and under are free.

      Africa Presentation,  Sunday, February 18th, 2018  4p-8p  at Bethel Lutheran Church,77 Lincoln  Ave  N.,Lester Prairie. Presenter  CATHY  HOUG.
