Lester Prairie,Mn is having a Paper Drive  Sept 22nd-Oct 3rd   Bring your Paper,Phone Books Magazines ,Cereal Boxes ,Shredded Paper,Card Board,anything paper. Bring to Trailer  in Parking Lot .PLEASE  No Pizza Boxes with Food On  Or String around Paper    Funds raised will be used to buy  a  AED      Automated External Defibrillator  for the Church      Questions   Call   320-395-2125   or   952-467-2542

      Ecumen of Litchfield is having another Hospice Volunteer Training Session, Starting Wednesday, Sept. 28th. Sessions run from 8a-Noon in the Nordic Room at Ecumen. To register call Nicole at 373-6604.

    1. Turtle Burger Fundraiser
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

      The Darwin Rod and Gun Club presents their Turtle Burger Fun Night Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct 1st from 5:30-7:30 pm. Tickets are $8 at the door for a Build you own Burger with Beans and Chips. Also take part in the Raffle and Games.

    2. Oktoberfest Fundraiser
      7:00 pm – 11:45 pm

      The Hutchinson Hockey Association is hosting an Oktoberfest Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct 1st from 7pm-Midnight at the York Farm Barn. Tickets are $20, for German Food, Games, Drinks, and Live Music by 2Manchu. There are also Free Bus Rides to and From the Barn.

    1. Holy Family Bazaar
      10:00 am – 7:00 pm

      The Church of the Holy Family’s annual Bazaar is coming up on Sunday, Oct 2nd. Polka Mass at 10 am Pork Chop Dinner serving from 11a-2p with Take Outs available. Adults are $9 for 1 chop, $11 for 2 Chops, Children ages 4-10 are $5. Also under the tent is Kids Games, Pumpkin Decorating, Store, Cake Walk, Refreshments, Bingo and more!

      10:30 am – 1:00 pm


      You are invited to the LWML Fall Barbecue at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hamburg on October 2nd from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Menu consists of: Barbecue or hot dog, potato salad, baked beans, chips, pickles, dessert and beverage. The cost for the dinner is $7.00 for adults, $4.00 for ages 4 – 10 and children under the age of 4 are free. Takeouts available.

    3. Fall Windsor Pork Chop Dinner
      11:00 am – 1:00 pm

      St John Lutheran Church of Rural Gaylord is hosting their Fall Harvest Windsor Pork Chop Dinner on Sunday, Oct 2nd from 11a-1p at the Gaylord American Legion. Cost is $10 for adults, Children 5-10 are $5. Take Outs are available. You can also shop the Country Store and Usborne Books Sale.

      St. John’s Lutheran Church of Atwater presents their Oktoberfest at the Atwater Community Center on Sunday, Oct 2nd from 4:30-7:30p. On the menu, Meat Balls, Pork Hocks, Brats, Hot Potato Salad, and other German Dishes and Desserts. Adults are $12, Children are $5. Live Music is by the Wendinger Band. Proceeds go to Atwater area Seniors.

      The United Lutheran Church of Lake Lillian is hosting it’s annual Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct 6th. Serving Meatballs, Potatoes, and more. Adults are $9, 6-12 is $3.

      The Sons of Norway invite you to meet Per Breiehagen and Lori Evert, the award winning authors and photographer of the NY Times Bestseller, The Christmas Wish, on Saturday, October 8th at 5:30p at CrossPoint Church in Hutchinson.     1. Dads Belgian Waffle Dinner
      8:30 am – 12:30 pm

      The New Germany Commercial Club is hosting their annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast on Sunday, October 9 from 8:30 AM to 12:30PM.  It will be held at the city hall.  All the waffles you can eat along with the delicious Schroeder Meats breakfast sausages.  Everyone is Welcome.

      8:30 am – 12:00 pm

      The Silver Lake Lions are hosting their Fall Brunch on Sunday, Oct 9th from 8:30a-Noon at the Silver Lake Auditorium. Serving Eggs, Pancakes, Sausage and more. $7 for Adults and $3 for those under 12. They also ask you to bring an item for the Food Shelf. Proceeds support the Football Program.

      St. Aloysius Church in Olivia invites you to join them on Sunday, Oct 9th for their Fall Festival. Mass begins at 10 am, Homemade Chicken Dinner from 11a-1:30p. Cost is $11 for adults or takeouts and $6 for children 10 and under. Also enjoy the pumpkin patch, Farmers Market, Bakers Corner, Quilt Ladies booth, Silent Auction, Cake Walk and more.

      The Vineyard United Methodist Church hosts their Annual Turkey Dinner on Wednesday, Oct 12th serving from 4-7 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for kids ages 4-10, and under 4 is free.       The Brownton Congregational Church will hold their Community Dinner on Wednesday, October 12th from 5-7 pm with a free will offering. The Dinner is hosted the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

      Mcleod County Social Services is hosting a Foster Parent Orientation on Saturday, Oct 15th from 9a-3p at the Mcleod Conty Solid Waste Management Building in Hutchinson. The meeting is an opportunity to learn about the foster care program and ask questions to see if this program may be right for you.     2. Fall Hotdish Supper
      4:30 pm – 7:00 pm

      Montrose Methodist Church is hosting its annual fall hotdish supper on Saturday October 15th.  The supper will take place from 4:30 to 7 pm, Featuring appetizers, salads, hotdish & beverage.  Cost is $10 for adults.  $5 for ages 5 – 10.  Age 4 and under are free.  Dessert available for an additional dollar.  Proceeds will benefit various mission programs.

    3. Fall Block Party
      5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

      The Arlington Fire Department presents their Fall Block Party on Saturday, Oct 15th at their Fire Hall. A pork chop dinner is served from 5-7 pm, and live music from the Rhythm Kings and Dixie Maiden. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for kids 12 and under.

      St. John Lutheran Church of Hollywood is holding their Chili and Sup Luncheon on Saturday, Oct 22nd from 11a-1p. Adults are $8, Children 5-12 are $3. Also don’t forget to shop their Bake Sale.

      The next Silver Lake Paper Drive is coming up Oct 28/29. Drop off your paper on the North side of the Holy Family Church. Proceeds go to the SL Ambulance, Fire Dept, and Winter Festival.

      All Veterans and a guest are invited to an appreciation dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 1st at the Hutchinson VFW. 5:30 pm Social Hour, 6 pm Dinner, and 7 pm Speaker.
